Provoking Managemement Education: Adorno and Radical Inspiration From Interwar Period Art Movements
An overheating planet endangers the survival of humanity in the long run, and overheated societal climates endanger wealth, democracy, and human values even in the short run. Business schools and management education might be at a crossroads; are we facing demise due to engulfment in neoliberal ideology and harmful business practice, or do we find a way to turn the wheel to exit the vicious circle? In this session, I will draw on Th. W. Adorno as a key figure of the Frankfurt School and on the interwar period arts movements/genres of Surrealism and New Objectivity to spark fruitful, controversial, and inspiring debate.
