Authentic Commitment Or Greenwashing? Embedding Sdgs To Mobilise Change

This provocation examines the integration of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) in management education. While sustainability is often highlighted as important to Gen Z and millennial students, there is a growing concern that many business schools and organisations may merely engage in "greenwashing" without making meaningful changes. The session explores whether embedding UNSDGs is a necessary response to global challenges or simply an attempt to align with student interests. Key questions revolve around the role of management education in fostering genuine societal impact and the tension between profit maximisation and sustainability in business curricula.
