Breaking Barriers: Neurodiversity Inclusiveness In The Workplace

This article describes a classroom exercise allowing students to see perspectives via a neurotypical and neurodiverse lens. Experiential training encourages students to reflect deeply on their prejudices toward behaviors that do not match the traditional mold. The exercise will uncover deeply ingrained biases and emotional and mental hurdles to peer acceptance and collaboration. In the end, it will allow the students to reflect on such attitudes, elevate their awareness, and to help them find a path towards inclusivity in their respective organizations.
