Gamification In Organisational Behaviour Teaching: Motivation, Emotional Intelligence, and Group Dynamics

Gamification engages learners as they compete, bond, collectively solve problems, and earn rewards. Over a four-week series of exercises involving gamification, students grow genuine connections, work as teams and experience distributive and procedural (in)justice as they compete for prizes of varying value in scenarios designed to apply directly to OB theory. The activities stimulate rich discussion of job design, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, fairness, teamwork, and individual differences. This series of classes is suitable for undergraduate students within a small-group class/workshop context but will be demonstrated in an abridged form with MOBTS delegates in 60 minutes.
