Dora’s Explorer Reflection

Reflections are a widely used method of assessment across universities worldwide and have recently gained further popularity as a means of promoting authentic learning in the era of generative AI. Despite their benefits, including the development of transferable workplace skills, many students continue to underperform in reflective assessments. Educators can enhance student outcomes by helping students develop reflective skills through regular practice. Nevertheless, written reflections, the most common format, may not offer an equitable or engaging experience for everyone. To address this, this paper presents the integration of visual reflections into a semester-long activity to develop reflective skills in a more engaging and inclusive way.
