Teaching The Ai Generation: Necessary Skill Or Ethical Minefield?

We’ll explore the tension between teaching AI as a required management skill and curbing its growing misuse in the classroom. Experiences will be discussed and compared on the topics of students who rely on AI as a shortcut instead of a learning tool. Participants will be guided through a structured debate on whether academia should embrace AI use fully, regulate it tightly, or redefine assessment to align with workplace expectations, as well as the gap between classroom and practice in regard to what skill sets will be demanded in students’ approaching careers. The session will challenge assumptions, raise uncomfortable questions, and aim to produce concrete strategies faculty can apply immediately.
