Zambezia: A Global Ethics Choose-Your-Own-Adventure

This session presents Zambezia, an interactive, “choose-your-own-adventure” classroom exercise that immerses students in the ethical complexities of multinational business operations. Designed for large or small classes, the exercise uses branching decision scenarios and real-time polling to engage students in exploring ethical imperialism, relativism, and pluralism in cross-cultural management contexts. Students experience the tensions between universal corporate principles and local cultural norms, reflect on the systemic impacts of their decisions, and discuss strategies for ethical pluralism. The MOBTS session will actively involve participants in the exercise, followed by discussion and debrief on classroom adaptation, inclusivity, and pedagogical integration.
