The Management & Organizational Behavior Teaching Society is now accepting
applications


for its Doctoral Institute and Early Educator Institute preconference
workshops.


 


Application submission deadline is Friday, February 19, 2021. Decision
notifications will be sent by March 12, 2021.

The Management & Organizational Behavior Teaching Society is excited to once
again be able to offer the opportunity for doctoral students and junior
faculty members (in years 1-5 in academia) to apply for full scholarships to
Virtual MOBTS 2021 which will take place from June 16-19, 2021.

These scholarships include registration to our preconference workshops,
general registration, and an annual membership to MOBTS and its journals.


Doctoral Institute (DI)


Led by Kim Gower (University of Mary Washington), the DI is a workshop that
focuses on a variety of topics which typically include teaching
philosophies, negotiating an academic job, balancing research and the
classroom, effective teaching and learning, and other topics critical to
building the solid foundation you need as you head into seeking and
succeeding in your first post-doctoral position.

The DI preconference workshop is slated to take place on June 15th (time
subject to change). It is an all-day workshop. The expectation for all
scholarship recipients is that they will fully participate in the general
conference that follows.


A Doctoral Institute Scholarship includes the following:


*	Preconference workshop registration
*	General conference registration
*	Collaborative Saturday morning presentation which will be listed in
the conference proceedings
*	A one-year membership to MOBTS.org
*	A one-year subscription to the Journal of Management Education and
Management Teaching Review

 

 


Early Educator Institute (EEI)


Led by Terry Nelson (University of Alaska Anchorage), EEI scholarships are
available to junior faculty members currently in their first through fifth
years of teaching. The goals of the EEI include:

*	Providing opportunities to increase self-awareness around teaching
preferences, learning styles, and how to frame a teaching experience for
students
*	Exploring a wide variety of approaches to pedagogy, demystify some
of the approaches to pedagogy, and recognize that not every pedagogical
approach works for everyone
*	Start to develop your pedagogical identity by asking you to
consider: What do you want your students to learn? Who are your learners?
What learning experience should you provide that meets their needs?
*	And much more!


The date of the EEI is to be determined, but it will take place in the
vicinity of the conference dates. It is an all-day workshop. The expectation
for all scholarship recipients is that they will fully participate in the
general conference that follows.


An Early Educator Institute Scholarship includes the following:


*	Preconference workshop registration
*	General conference registration
*	A one-year membership to MOBTS.org
*	A one-year subscription to the Journal of Management Education and
Management Teaching Review
