A Simulation-based Learning Approach to Teaching Diversity in an Online Course

This presentation aims to demonstrate an effective approach to teaching about diversity management to online graduate students enrolled in an MBA or HRM program by converting text-based scenarios to an interactive simulation. The simulation presents six common scenarios relevant to managing diversity using animated characters created using Vyond (formerly GoAnimate). This approach provides an experiential activity for online adult learners that increases engagement with challenging content and enhances learning. The activity is ideally suited for graduate students.
