Leadership Skills and Competencies for the Digital Age: A Student Perspective

digital leader, leadership skills, competencies

As a class exercise, this activity will allow course instructors to gain a student perspective of which skills and competencies students consider most important for organizational leaders to succeed in a digital workplace. Conference participants will complete an activity both individually and in teams and will reflect on relevant competencies crucial for leading in today’s businesses. As course instructors, participants will be better equipped to redesign their graduate Leadership courses and enhance student understanding of and preparedness to embrace the digitalization of the workplace not only through the application of new technologies but by also adopting critical leadership behaviors.
