Virtual Empowerment: Surviving Online During Turbulent Times

online, courses, pandemic, adaptive instruction, faculty, students

Colleges and universities have been ordered due to government legislation to close brick and mortar campus courses and transition students to online courses. The intent is to comply with social distancing requirements of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Given limited notification, faculty and students are forced to adapt without timely consideration that both may be new to distance learning in crisis situations. Other factors to consider are the remote working environment and students with other obligations imposed by the Pandemic. In this symposium, solutions for managing assignment instructions, adaptive curriculum, media resources, electronic text, adaptive instruction, and managing stress will be explored.
