Time to flip the coin? A role reversal perspective on sexual harassment in the workplace

Abstract: We developed 6 brief cases to illustrate distinct facets of sexual harassment in the workplace. These cases offer an uncommon perspective in that each perpetrator is a person from a minority group. Each case demonstrates a unique situation whereby an individual who is traditionally considered to have less power in the workplace victimizes a person belonging to a majority group. Organizational behavior (OB) and human resource management (HRM) instructors can use these cases to explain a wide range of topics such as Title IX, diversity management, and power dynamics. These cases can also be used as role-plays or simulations.
