The Summer of MOBTS!

This year's conference management process will be slightly different from prior years. MOBTS is excited to bring to you the opportunity to attend back-to-back conferences - MOBTS 2026 at the University of Michigan (June 9-12 in Ann Arbor, Michigan) and International MOBTS at Kansai Gaidai University (June 16-18 in Hirakata, Japan)!

What makes this possible is that MOBTS attendees will fly into DTW (Detroit) to attend our conference at the University of Michigan and then fly direct to Tokyo on June 13th or 14th from DTW making this a week-long MOBTS experience on opposite sides of the world! MOBTS intends on doing its best to coordinate with those attendees who will be taking part in this special back-to-back offering. Additionally, we are exploring a discounted dual-registration rate, meaning one single registration price will take care of both conferences allowing you the opportunity to attend both events within travel guidelines you may have within your institution.

More information on these offerings will be available by the first week of November, so be on the lookout and plan to join us in this summer of MOBTS experiences!

Call for Papers & Submission Guidelines: Please review both the Call for Papers (MOBTS | International MOBTS) and our Submission Guidelines (MOBTS | International MOBTS) prior to submitting your sessions. As instituted in 2018, strict adherence to the guidelines is expected and those submissions that do not conform to the guidelines will be desk rejected.

Note: Unlike prior years where MOBTS and IMOBTS operated under separate submission systems, this year we are handling all papers under a single system and you will selected which conference you intend on submitting toward. As we anticipated significant crossover between these two events, having both events under one system allows authors and reviewers to operate within a single dashboard.

  • Preliminary Conference Program Distributed: April 13, 2026
  • Program Presenter Registration Deadline: April 17, 2026 (At least one presenter from all accepted submissions must have registered by this date. Any submissions without at least one registered presenter will be removed from the conference program)
  • Conference Registration ‘Early Bird’ Pricing Ends: May 8, 2026 (All registration fees +$75 after this date)
  • Final Conference Program Distributed: May 8, 2026
  • On-Campus Housing Option Ends: May 25, 2026
