Abstract: The facilitator will share an experiential exercise to apply the topic of quiet quitting to course concepts using Kolb’s experiential learning cycle. This exercise used in both undergraduate and graduate classrooms takes management students through the cycle of learning while they solve a practical problem. Participants in this session will experience this teaching activity based on the experiential learning cycle and the topic of ‘quiet quitting’, which has been in the news headlines and relates to the research in human resource management and organizational behavior on individual values, employee engagement, job satisfaction, and withdrawal behavior. The session is an opportunity for session participants to experience the exercise and then discuss how to utilize this with a variety of management topics. After the participants engage in the class activity around quiet quitting, the conversation will expand to a broader look at different ways to make learning meaningful to students in a variety of modalities and with different audiences using this specific teaching activity.
