Abstract: Reliability and validity are difficult topics for many students to understand. These concepts are typically taught in human resource management, compensation, and staffing and development courses. It is my experience that students need concrete examples to truly understand these concepts. The purpose of this exercise is to teach reliability and validity in ways that will be fun and memorable for students. In this session, I will demonstrate how I use a dartboard exercise and a height guessing exercise to teach reliability and validity.
