DEVELOPING EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE: PEDAGOGICAL APPLICATIONS FOR THE ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR CLASSROOM

Abstract: Emotional intelligence (EQ) has gained much attention lately and more students are interested in developing their EQ. In this session we share our experiences integrating emotional intelligence into the organizational behavior classroom. We focus on a final project where students reflect on their EQ and create (and follow) a plan for developing their EQ. We will generate discussion about EQ and student development, share student feedback, and co-create best practices for integrating emotional intelligence activities into the classroom.
