Virtual MOBTS Refund Policy

*The 'vMOBTS Refund Policy' is in place following the organization's response to COVID-19 and the decision to host our 48th annual conference virtually. The refund policy for our traditional on-campus conference can be found below.

After payment has been made for virtual conference registration:

  • 7 days prior* to Conference: 100% Refund
  • Less than 7 days* to Conference: No Refund can be Provided
    • While there is minimal overhead to hosting our virtual conference, our program is largely laid out not just by the number of sessions accepted, but by the number of attendees that can be anticipated so that we can provide as much certainty as possible to sessions being well attended.

Refund Policy

After payment has been made for conference registration to either the USA or International events:

  • 30+ Days Prior* to Conference: 100% Refund
  • 15-30 Days Prior* to Conference: 50% Refund
  • Less Than 15 Days Prior* to Conference: No Refund can be Provided

*The term "Prior to Conference" is defined as prior to the Monday of the week the conference begins. For MOBTS 2021, that date is June 14th, 2020.

MOBTS shall not be held liable for failure of performing its reasonably expected conference obligations if such failure or delay is the result of an 'act of God', such as earthquake, hurricane, tornado, flooding, or other natural disaster, or in the case of war, action of foreign enemies, terrorist activities, labor dispute or strike, government sanction, blockage, embargo, or failure of electrical service, or community gathering or travel restrictions due to local and/or federal health advisories and recommendations. MOBTS shall not be held liable in the event the attendee/registrant is unable to attend and/or participate in the MOBTS conference as a result of 'an act of God', such as earthquake, hurricane, tornado, flooding, or other natural disaster, or in the case of war, action of foreign enemies, terrorist activities, labor dispute or strike, government sanction, blockage, embargo, or failure of electrical service, or community gathering or travel restrictions due to local and/or federal health advisories and recommendations.

MOBTS cannot make exceptions to this refund policy. Come the dates listed above, the organization has already incurred a guaranteed expense that will be charged to the Society regardless of attendance.
