Located in Maynooth, County Kildare, Ireland, Maynooth University is Ireland’s youngest university, having been established in 1997 from the secular faculties of St. Patrick’s College (now separate) which was founded in 1795. While newly founded and independent, the University boasts beautiful architecture throughout its 19th century south campus and careful integration of its more modern designed north campus.
Maynooth has just shy of 9,000 students and is the fastest growing university in all of Ireland. In 2009, Maynooth was honored as one of the Top 500 universities in the world by Times Higher Education and in 2011 the university became the first and only institution outside of North America to be included in The Princeton Review of Best Colleges. Maynooth currently ranks in the Top 600 of universities around the globe.
